We recently shipped an Anderson Vane Gas Separator (AVGS) internal to be installed in a pressure vessel designed by Anderson Separator for a Geothermal Application. This AVGS internal has an overall height of 130.750” with a width of 98.5” that will be installed in a vessel that has an inside diameter of 102”. Material of construction of the AVGS separator is 316/316L Stainless Steel.
This separator plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of geothermal power plants by purifying and removing moisture from geothermal steam before it reaches the steam turbine. By ensuring that only dry steam is delivered to the turbine, the AVGS helps to increase efficiency and reduce maintenance costs associated with moisture damage.
This unit marks the ninth separator that Anderson Separator has designed and built for geothermal power plants located overseas. As geothermal energy gains traction as a reliable, renewable energy source, separators like the AVGS are integral to maximizing the energy output while supporting the global shift toward greener, more sustainable energy solutions.
