Combining 2 Trusted Level Technologies into a Single Solution - L10™ Liquid Level Gage with GWR

DID YOU KNOW? Jerguson offers a single solution technology, combining our Jerguson® Series L10™ Liquid Level Gage with your preferred Guided Wave Radar (GWR).

Jerguson Large Chamber Liquid Level Gages are designed to give an accurate liquid level reading of liquids that have a tendency to surge or boil. These glass gages are highly effective in:

  1. reducing the boiling effects of entrained gas being released under low pressure,

  2. eliminating apparent level fluctuations that occur in standard gages (with small chambers) when boiling / flashing vapors try to rise to the surface, and

  3. applications where the operating temperature is below freezing and high ambient temperatures cause the temperature of the fluid in the gage to exceed the boiling point of the liquid. In applications where the operating temperature is below freezing the gage must be equipped with non-frost extensions.

Some features of the L10 Liquid Level Gage include:

  • Recessed Gasket Seat in Chamber and Cover

  • Tempered Borosilicate Glass conforming to BS3463, JIS B8211, & DIN 7081

  • All parts listed in ASTM & ASME B31.3

  • ABS Certified

  • For fluids with low boiling point, such as: Ammonia, Propane, Butane, Methane, Ethylene, LNG, & Refrigerants

Guided Wave Radar – Dielectric Based Level Measurement

Various GWR manufacturers available based on customer preference

On-board electronic module sends low-power microwave pulses down the GWR probe which are reflected by the process media. Time of flight is measured to determine the process level.

  • Measurement independent of density, conductivity, dielectric constant, and temperature

  • Models available for interface applications; both total and interface level can be provided with one HART signal

  • Measurement unaffected by foam or turbulent surfaces

  • Models available with compensation for steam applications

  • Various GWR manufacturers available based on customer preference
